POV

[edit]

This reads more like an essay about what artists "should" do in regards to public art, rather than a description of contemporary artists. So, I've tagged it for a POV check. --sparkit (talk) July 6, 2005 22:16 (UTC)

This article is about what the rules are for some postmodern art, and does not describe what the idea of contemprory art is. Anyway postmodernism is over. --DanteDanti July 28 2005

Yeah! The point of view is neutral, but wrong "This article is about what the rules are for some postmodern art". maybe a new template {{WPOV}}? Anyway, there's something fishy about this text -- Zanaq 08:42, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with Contemporary art

[edit]

I agree that we should merge this article with Contemporary Art. I wish we could get some art historians involved in this dialogue. It is my understanding that there is an accepted difinition of contemporary art-- that would be fine art created in the last 25 years.

There is also great confusion with the lists of contemporary artists and who's listed in the Contemporary art category. --Sue Maberry 02:58, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
